Makeup Haul

One of my favorite things is online shopping. I love getting packages brought to my door with stuff I am anticipating on getting. Even though it’s my money being spent on stuff for me (and my mom if we share), it still feels like Christmas!

I recently did a lil haul recently and while I get a little money-anxious at checkout, I am really excited for everything I got! Here’s a list of everything I got over the past month or so and my thoughts on a few of the things I’ve already tried! Please note I did not buy all of this at the same time and this is about 3 weeks worth of haul. I use my CVS Extra Bucks and looks for deals so if you see anything you wanna try defiantly do the same. If you’ve tried any of these products or want to try them, let me know in the comments below! If you also have any recommendations for my next haul let me know! I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions (and maybe even help me save a buck where I can!)

L’Oreal Pure Sugar Scrub Nourish and Soften

2520316I originally bought this thinking it was a face mask… which was dumb of me because it has the word “scrub” in the name. I haven’t tried this yet but I’m excited to! It’s supposed to help nourish both the skin and lips and make your skin smoother and softer. This scrub is said to have “brown, blonde and white sugars, [be] rich in minerals, [and] melts into skin for gentle, yet effective exfoliation.” Sounds pretty good if you ask me! I’ll try this out and let you know what I think!

Wet N Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in Blossom Glow

You can never have too many highlighters, right? Right. I got this highlighter pretty recently and have been really liking it! I have tried the shade Precious Petals before so I was excited to see that they came out with new shades! I don’t think this shade is new to the drugstore but it’s new to me! This is a quality highlighter that is super gorgeous and super affordable. I really hope they put out more shades because I want them all! I depotted this along with my other one and put it in a Z palette if that’s something you like to do! It was really easy to remove but is not magnetic.

Burt’s Bees Micellar Water Cleansing Towelettes

Alrighty, here’s one buy that I am not about. I love micellar water and use the Garnier one almost everyday. So when I saw these at Target I was excited! I thought this would make my life easier so I got them. Spoiler alert: I do not like them. First off they smell pretty bad in my opinion. They have white cyprus oil in them and it is a strong smell, but not a good one. I know white cyprus oil is supposed to have a lot of benefits, but I think these made me just break out. My skin has never looked so bad since I started using these and it’s just a total flop for me. I don’t recommend these particular wipes, but I do love the Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes with White Tea Extract, the ones with Grapefruit, and the ones Cucumber and Sage. So if you’re looking to get some cleansing towelettes, I recommend any one but these. (Sorry Burt’s Bees, I still love you!)

Burt’s Bees Brightening Daily Facial Cleanser

Before you think I don’t like Burt’s Bees, I do! I love a lot of their products and will continue buying and trying their products, this being one of them! I just started using this product so I’m not confident to say I love it yet, but I do like it. Unlike the previous product, this one smells really good in my opinion. It smells fresh and clean and isn’t overpowering. This cleanser is infused with daisy extract which is supposed to “help improve the appearance of surface dullness and reveal a more even-looking skin tone” so I’m willing to try it! I’ll continue using it and keep you guys updated on my thoughts once I have a solid understanding of how it works for me.

OFRA Cosmetics Feelin’ Myself Highlighter Palette

I finally took the plunge and got some OFRA highlights. Why I haven’t tried them earlier is a mystery to me… well no the reasons are this: they are a little pricy, I’ve never swatched them, and I didn’t know which shade would suit my skin tone. So as I was scrolling through Ulta, I saw this palette of 3 highlighters for $30. I know, I know, it’s a lot of money. The way I justified it is that a normal OFRA highlighter is $30 for one so these ones are $10 per color. I also never hit pan so I don’t need a big highlighter and I can try different shades (Rodeo Drive, Pillowtalk, and Blissful). I think it’s more bang for my buck! These were an online only thing on Ulta and I am still waiting for them to come so I’ll let you know what I think when they get here!

Dose of Colors Lip Gloss in Happy Hour

Ordering makeup online that I have never seen or tried in person makes me nervous. For a long time, Dose of Colors was only available to me online so I never tried it until recently. I love their liquid lipsticks, but lately I’ve been getting into glosses more than matte liquid lipsticks. So when I saw these I got really excited. They seem like opaque glosses that wear sort of like a lipstick more than a sheer gloss which I love. I got the shade Happy Hour which is described as a “pinky-coral with subtle gold shimmer.” This seems like a color I tend to wear a lot in the spring and summer so I’m excited to add a new gloss to that collection!

Colourpop Dream St. Palette

I’ve been on the fence about purchasing this palette since it came out. There are so many beautiful colors in this palette, but I don’t see myself wearing some of them. After seeing so many tutorials with this palette and seeing all the different looks you can do, I thought I’d just go for it. This palette was only $16 and I know I already love the quality of the Colourpop pressed shadows so it wasn’t really a risk for me to do it. This is a collaboration with Kathleen Lights and she always makes great products so I’m sure I’ll love it!

MEMEBOX I Dew Care Peel-Off Masks

You didn’t really think I wouldn’t buy a product with the name “kitten” in it, did you? I’ve been looking at these masks for some time now and decided to try them out! The packaging is really cute and the actual mask really intrigues me. The Space Kitten mask has glitter in it, and the Sugar Kitten one has a sort of holographic look to it. I’m really curious about how these will perform and will let you know!

La Creme Mystical Effects Lipstick in Fairy Tears

I was so excited when this collection launched. I am a total kid at heart and when it comes to fairies and unicorns and mermaids, you bet I’m into it. When the Unicorn Tears version of this came out a couple years ago it was impossible to find. I eventually got my hands on it and was so amazed by it. It went from a blue to a lilac shade when applied and I was obsessed. But I don’t normally wear blue and purple lipstick on a daily basis so it was more of a fun thing to do every once in awhile. Too Faced recently launched several more shades with the same color changing idea so when I saw Fairy Tears, I was really excited. It’s supposed to be a bright yellow that transforms into a pinky champagne color so I think this one will be good for everyday and I’ll get to wear it more!

So that is all I have hauled recently! I will let you guys know how I feel about all these products once I’ve tried and tested them all out! Again, let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
